Aurora Horses And Humans Coaching
What if we stopped trying to "fit the mold"?
The more you’ve struggled to conform, the more out of sync you’ve felt.
The more you’ve wanted your horse to be "normal", the more complex, or even difficult, they’ve become.
What if the problem wasn't you, or them?
What if the real issue was this idea of "normality" that you are both desperately trying to bend to?
Look around you, in nature.
Observe the trees in a forest. Not one grows exactly like its neighbor. Some are twisted by the wind, others reach straight for the sky. Some grow fast, while others take their time, strengthening their roots in the silence. 🌿
Observe a herd of horses in freedom. There is no standard. There are temperaments, sensitivities, roles, and infinite nuances.
Nature is diversity. It is made of a multitude of colors that complement each other, not a single uniform shade.
Yet, in our equestrian — and human — world, we spend our time trying to erase these nuances.
We want "standard" horses: not too sensitive, not too soft, not too reactive, not too fearful.
We want "standard" riders: not too emotional, not too rigid, not too reflective, not too active.
We try to fit living rainbows into gray boxes. 🌈📦
And when it gets stuck, when it tenses up, when it explodes, who do we blame?
Often, we blame the horse. Or we blame ourselves.
"He’s stubborn."
"I’m useless."
"He doesn’t want to understand."
What we forget is that difference itself does not create suffering.
A sensitive horse isn’t "unhappy" because they are sensitive.
A human who needs a lot of meaning, logic, or time to process things is no less competent.
Suffering arises when a living being is asked to function against their own nature.
Suffering comes from the constant pressure to adapt to a model that doesn’t fit who we are.
For many of us, both riders and horses, daily life feels like a constant effort of camouflage.
The horse learns to endure to avoid punishment. They dim their gaze, lower their head, the light in their eyes fades, and their inner fire flickers out. We call this "calm," but it is actually resignation. 🐴💔
The rider learns to silence her intuition. She smiles when she is tense; she applies a technique that makes her uncomfortable because "that’s just how it’s done."
By trying so hard to fit into the box, we eventually fade away.
We lose that raw, true, living connection that made us love horses in the first place.
We find ourselves alone, facing a partner who no longer offers anything, and a rider who no longer dares.

That disconnect you feel, that impression of never quite belonging... what if it was actually your greatest asset? ✨
Those who don’t fit into boxes often have a unique ability: the capacity to see what others miss.
A horse that refuses to move forward isn't "stupid." It’s a horse telling you something. Maybe they are afraid. Maybe they don’t understand. Maybe they don’t agree.
A rider who feels uncomfortable with a method isn't "weak." She is a rider whose internal alarm system is working perfectly. She senses that something is disrespecting the living being.
These profiles, often called "atypical," "too sensitive," or "complicated," are usually the ones who, once understood and accepted, develop relationships of incredible depth.
Because they don't settle for the surface. Because they need to go to the heart of things.
Our conviction is that the solution lies not in standardization, but in the encounter.
The meeting of two unique individuals.
Your horse has their story, their temperament, their fears, their strengths.
So do you.
What if you took the time to build your own mold?
One that respects your needs.
One that respects the needs of your horse, whether they are highly sensitive, hyper-reactive, a quiet observer, or a fiery explore.
There is no single way to be a rider.
There is no single way to be a horse. 🐴
There are as many paths as there are duos.
It is a path that requires courage.
The courage to step off the beaten track.
The courage to trust your feelings even when they contradict the norm.
The courage to say: "This doesn't work for me. I want to try another way."
But it is also the path that leads to lightness. 🌬️
To that incredible feeling where everything becomes simple, not because you are perfectly trained, but because you are finally aligned.
Where the horse finds their desire to participate, their pride, and their confidence.
Where the rider finds her joy, her serenity, and her legitimacy.
The next time you feel that disconnect, that doubt, that impression of not being "normal"...
Try not to see it as a failure.
See it as a compass. 🧭
It’s not telling you that you are lost. It’s simply showing you that you are leaving the paved road to follow your path.
The one that will lead you and your horse toward a true relationship.
A living, conscious, and respectful relationship.
Just you.
"When the noise of the world fades away, allowing the uniqueness of our bond to vibrate."
