Taming Your Doubts to Better Understand Your Horse

Human-horse relationship: A woman and an Icelandic horse run freely and in rhythm on a dirt road, illustrating a deep connection.

To love your horse deeply,
to want to do right by them,
and yet to doubt.

To doubt your choices.
To doubt your feelings.
To feel "off,"
or never quite getting it right.

If you’re here, it’s likely because you feel this disconnect.
Not for lack of desire or commitment,
but because what you want to experience with your horse doesn’t align with what you’re told to do.

When Trying to Do Right Becomes Exhausting

Many people seek a respectful, peaceful relationship with their horse.
They try.
They learn.
They apply.

And yet, something resists.

Advice contradicts itself.
Techniques work sometimes… then stop.
Pressure builds.
The fear of doing wrong intensifies.

We end up forcing ourselves.
Holding back.
Acting against what feels right.

And this inner unease always seeps into the relationship with the horse.

Our Approach

A young woman and her horse move in synchronized, confident harmony under the Icelandic sky.

We guide those who no longer want to force themselves, or their horse.

Our approach isn’t about correcting, dominating, or conditioning.
It’s about enabling humans and horses to understand each other and evolve together in a relationship built on respect, awareness, and freedom from constraint.

This isn’t a method to apply.
It’s a living process of accompaniment,
considering the relationship as a whole,
what unfolds in the interaction,
and what’s experienced internally.

What Changes in Practice

When humans stop forcing themselves,
horses no longer need to resist.

Gradually :

  • the relationship becomes more authentic,

  • tensions ease,

  • trust builds,

  • interactions simplify.

No more constant struggle or anticipation,
just a calmer, clearer presence.

The horse feels heard.
The human feels more confident.
The relationship regains fluidity.

Who We Are

Connection and tenderness: A montage showing Aurore’s bond with her mare in summer, and the well-being of a foal cuddled by Béatrice in winter.

We work as a mother-daughter duo.
Two perspectives, two sensitivities, one shared commitment to integrity.

Our journey has been shaped through diverse practices and contexts,
in France, Quebec, and Iceland, with very different horses.

This diversity taught us one essential truth :
there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, only relationships to understand and adjust.

We don’t impose a model.

We help you find a way of being and doing that makes sense for you and your horse.
